Get more from the servers you own.

Install Neverinstall Private Cloud on the x86 and arm64 servers already in your racks, back to 2012. Run Virtual Machines, Containers and Managed Kubernetes on the same nodes, then move workloads across in groups.

Servers retire before their capacity does.

Servers are often retired when support contracts end, while each workload type keeps its own platform, tools and licenses.

Build one cluster from mixed hardware.

Servers of different makers, models and generations join the same cluster. Keep internal disks, an existing SAN, or both.

Neverinstall Private Cloud builds one cluster from the servers you already own: older and newer models, x86 and arm64, on internal disks or your SAN.
Starting size

1 node, 2 nodes as 1+1, or 3 or more for full high availability

Growth

Up to 1,000 nodes in one cluster

Network

1 Gbps minimum, 10 Gbps recommended, no BGP

Pricing

Per node, with no charge per Virtual Machine

One cluster for every workload.

  • Servers you already own

An existing server asks to join the cluster with its cores and memory. You approve it and choose its role.

  • Virtual Machines

Application servers move across as Virtual Machines and run on older and newer nodes in the same cluster.

  • Containers

Services deploy from your registry as Containers, beside the Virtual Machines, on the same nodes.

  • Managed Kubernetes

Teams that need Kubernetes get their own clusters, created from the Console on the same servers.

Keep the integrations and ownership you need.

A shared Console changes provisioning. Your teams still own their applications.

Retain required tools

Keep identity, backup, monitoring and security integrations until the pilot verifies the functions you can replace.

Assign operating responsibilities

Agree on who provisions capacity, approves maintenance, applies updates and responds when an application fails.

Move in groups, then retire the old systems.

  1. Take inventory

List servers, disks, SAN and network links, with the workloads each one runs and what those workloads depend on.

  2. Review the hardware

Send us the server, disk and network models. Our engineers confirm the configuration before a pilot of 1-8 weeks, paid or free by scope.

  3. Build one cluster

Install in about 30 minutes and have a first cluster in a day. Start with 1, 2 or 3 nodes and add servers as workloads arrive.

  4. Move workloads in groups

Move one group of Virtual Machines, Containers or Kubernetes workloads at a time. Test access, backup and restore before the next group moves.

  5. Retire or repurpose

When a server is empty, retire it or review it as another node for the cluster.

Questions about modernizing.

Can our older servers join the cluster?

Yes, after the hardware review. x86 and arm64 servers back to 2012 can join one cluster, mixing makers, models and generations, on internal disks, an existing SAN or both.

Do we need new network equipment?

Links of 1 Gbps are the minimum and 10 Gbps is recommended. Public addresses are announced on your existing Layer 2 network, with no BGP.

How small can we start?

One node runs workloads without high availability. Two nodes give 1+1 high availability, and 3 or more give full high availability. A cluster grows to 1,000 nodes.

Does our team need Kubernetes or OpenStack skills?

The Console covers routine compute, storage, network and access tasks. Kubernetes and OpenStack skills are not required.

How are updates and support delivered?

Updates are signed bundles applied from the Console, offline where the site needs it. Support is 24×7, from the engineers who build the platform.

What does it cost to add workloads?

Neverinstall Private Cloud is priced per node. More Virtual Machines on the same licensed nodes add no platform charge. New nodes, infrastructure and third-party licenses are quoted separately.
